THE 2024 CAMPING SEASON AT CAMP BATAWAGAMA
SENIOR DAYS AT YOUTH CAMP are scheduled for June 12, 13, and 14. This program has been in existence since 1981 and is a highlight of the summer for many seniors. Rain or shine, the day begins at 10:00 with Registration, coffee, and gourmet snacks. Then it is off to some serious socializing and AM
Fitness in Friends Hall followed by Lunch.
The afternoon is filled with variety of Craft Projects, River, and Lake Excursions, Cribbage Tournament, and Golden Zumba. Dinner and Entertainment round off the day at 5:00.
The IRON COUNTY BAND CAMP started in 1955 will be RETURNING to Camp Batawagama’s summer schedule. The 2024 Band Camp will feature some of the finest musicians in the country. They will be spending the week teaching Junior High and Senior High School Band Students from Iron County and surrounding areas.
The ANNUAL BAND CAMP FACULTY CONCERT for the Community will take place at Batawagama on June 20th. A “Meet and Greet Reception” will directly follow the Concert. There will be more highlights to come about the 2024 Band Camp Music Faculty on the Camp website: campbatawagama.com.
THE 66 th ANNUAL IRON COUNTY BAND CAMP CONCERT will take place on June 22, 2024, at the Forest Park Gymnasium. The Junior and Senior High Bands will be playing the music that they practiced and perfected during their week of Band Camp. The Junior and High School Bands will join for the Concert Finale to play a world premiere composition, written exclusively for
Batawagama by our Composer in Residence, Dr. Robert Hanson.
The IRON COUNTY YOUTH CAMP is scheduled to begin on June 23, 2024. Boys and girls from the ages of 9-16 are eligible to register. This program was established in 1945 and has been providing a wonderful and safe environment for children to come and learn outdoor camping skills, lessons in swimming from beginners to scuba diving, watercraft safety, and much, much more.
